Beat Film Festival and Tinkoff together with the Multimedia Art Museum present the exhibition “VR: The New Laws of Art. Presented by Beat x Tinkoff ” – four virtual reality artworks by modern artists, including Marina Abramovic and Anish Kapoor. The VR program of Beat Film Festival will become part of the exposition of the museum, occupying an entire floor of the building, and will be opened with the lecture by the leading European curator, Daniel Birnbaum.
As part of the VR program, Beat Film Festival will present a showcase of Acute Art — the world's first virtual art platform, headed by one of the most influential European curators, Daniel Birnbaum. New digital technologies are changing the language of contemporary art, largely thanks to Acute Art platform, which has collaborated with artists including Marina Abramovic, Olafur Eliasson and Jeff Koons offering them an opportunity to experiment with VR. The results of these experiments will be exhibited in Russia for the first time. It has become possible to display complex interactive artworks on 30 devices thanks to the technical support of HTC VIVE, a producer of premium virtual reality headsets, and MSI, a world leader in gaming hardware, related products, and services. Great Gonzo Studio, a leading Russian company that focuses on creative projects with VR/AR, will ensure a smooth operation of the 18-day VR exhibition.
