VR: The New Laws of Art

A lecture by Daniel Birnbaum

One of the world’s most prominent curators, the former director of the Moderna Museet in Stockholm, Daniel Birnbaum has left his post to head up Acute Art – a studio, which creates virtual-reality and augmented-reality artworks. In his lecture, he will discuss how seriously the art market is beginning to take the field of immersive digital technology and why VR is not just a high-tech tool, but also the subject of a practical investigation into the fundamental nature of art.

«For me, it’s a move back to where I once began, which is being close to artists. What will artists do with these technologies? What can they do? What are their dreams?»

The lecture will be held in English with translation into Russian.

Entrance by purchasing tickets to the Museum.
